Our History

Sierra Sustainable Builders was established by Cory Hannaford and Danny Webb, two lifelong friends who shared a deep passion for the building crafts and a desire to explore the world. Their journey took them to some of the most breathtaking destinations, working on diverse projects that honed their skills and fostered their appreciation for quality craftsmanship.

Arriving in the stunning Lake Tahoe region in the late 1990s, Cory and Danny witnessed firsthand the environmental impact of conventional construction practices. This spurred them to establish Sierra Sustainable Builders in 2002, driven by a commitment to responsible and sustainable building practices.

Over the years, Sierra Sustainable Builders has evolved into a thriving team of nearly 50 talented designers, builders, project managers, and support staff. Driven by a shared vision, they collaborate on a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects across the Tahoe basin and surrounding communities.
