Company History

Our story began in 1972, when Harold Parkinson, affectionately known as Parky, bought Pinewood Mobile Homes, a small business located near Sobey's on 7th Street North in Golden. Over the years, Parky's Mobile Homes Ltd. grew and prospered, but Parky had a vision to diversify the business. He met Jim Courtenay, a skilled gas fitter, and together they incorporated furnace repairs and installations into the company. By the late 1970s, Parky's decided to focus solely on the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, moving to a larger location on 11th Avenue South. The company continued to grow, and by the 1980s, Parky's Heating & Cooling had become a household name in the East Kootenay Region.

Our showroom is open, and we invite you to visit us at 808 9th Street North, Golden, BC. Due to COVID-19 measures, we are limiting the number of customers in the store at any given time, but we encourage you to call ahead to order parts or book a consultation.
