Sanding, Staining & Finishing

At JR Hardwood Flooring, we use state-of-the-art sanding equipment and powerful vacuum systems to maintain dust particles to a minimum. Our crew follows a six-step solution process that includes initial preparation, sanding and conditioning, staining, and finishing. Our goal is to save you time and money while keeping disruptions at a minimum. We use high-quality finishing coats to ensure the durability of your floors and achieve the desired shine and lustre. Our crew abides by National Wood Flooring Association Standards for the proper application of residential finish coats.

Buffing & Refinishing

Our services also extend to providing floor buffing and refinishing to smooth and brighten recently refinished floors. This is a much shorter renovating process consisting of two steps: clearing out floor imperfections such as scratches, dents, or spilled liquid stains, and then applying a double coating of the desire brand of finishing to complete the job. Our expert crew members can help you choose the right finishing product for your floors.

Stairs Renovation

Our services also include replacing and installing newly minted stair threads on your home. Once the new threads have been installed, we finish the whole staircase including risers, strings, posts, and handrails to the desired shade of stain and finishing matching the rest of your floors for a seamless blend and look. We also finish worn out and discolored stair threads, posts, and handrails, including white-washing the risers and strings. Our crew members can stain risers and stringers a second time ONLY IF a darker shade of stain is used. Otherwise, we can only offer white-washing risers and stringers after a second time.

Hardwood Floor Installation

At JR Hardwood Flooring, we offer a variety of floor installation options to suit your taste, needs, and budget. We install solid strip oak floors, laminate floors, vinyl laminate, and engineered products. Our expert crew members ensure minimal product waste and a flawless installation. We also include the finishing touches such as trim work on doors, baseboard, and corner around installation for a complete outlook transformation of your home.
