Our History

Lang Construction was founded by Bill Lang in 1985 with just one employee and a pickup truck. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, expanding our capabilities and expertise to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Today, our company boasts a team of skilled professionals, multiple crews, and a fleet of construction equipment.

In the residential sector, we provide custom homes, additions, interior and exterior renovations, basement finishing, garages, and workshops. In the commercial sector, we specialize in wood-frame, steel-frame, and combination wood/steel frame buildings, including mini storage buildings, office space, professional space, small apartment complexes, and manufacturing facilities. For agricultural purposes, we construct wood-frame, steel-frame, and combination wood/steel frame buildings, including dairy barns, poultry barns, horse barns, riding arenas, hay/storage sheds, implement sheds, workspaces, and tarp/fabric buildings.

Giving Back to the Community

Throughout our 30-plus years in business, Lang Construction has made it a priority to give back to the community that has supported us. We have sponsored numerous sports teams, from baseball to hockey to lacrosse, and have partnered with Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation and supported United Way Northumberland. Our founder, Bill Lang, has been an active Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Port Hope and has served as President of the club for the 2014-2015 year.
